Maintenance – HVAC Technician

The HVAC technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs and new installations on a variety of HVAC applications.  A strong HVAC proficiency and electrical  understanding is required.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Perform preventive maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating and cooling systems.

  • Monitors and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation.
  • Installs, maintains and services heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and steam distribution equipment and systems.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs computerized, electronic and pneumatic devices related to HVAC control.
  • Diagnoses malfunctions of heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and components for the purpose of identifying repair/replacement needs necessary to maintain equipment and systems.
  • Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Prepare documentation related to preventive maintenance, completed repairs and replacement parts.

Requirements:

  • 3 years HVAC field experience (EPA Universal Certification preferred)
  • Able to operate various measuring and testing equipment
  • Reads blueprints, piping and wiring diagrams
  • Perform brazing, soldering pipefitting and welding
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
