The Clifford R. Roslund Elementary School opened its doors and welcomed
students for the first time in the Fall of 1972. The building was named
after one of our former superintendents. Roslund is located at 99 Digger
Drive very close to downtown Tunkhannock. It is the largest and oldest
of the district's four elementary schools.
Roslund has undergone extensive refurbishing and is now ready to enjoy
another thirty plus years. At Roslund we strive to provide a well-rounded,
world class elementary education for all students. We have a highly qualified
teaching staff, complemented by an excellent crew of support staff. We
also provide a variety of educational activities and experiences for the
students at Roslund including: a strong Title I Reading Program, a Kid
Writing Program, Guided Reading Program, Accelerated Reading Program,
Rocket Math Program, Compass Learning Program, and a strong preparation
program for the state assessment (PSSA) tests.
In addition to the above we also have a strong PTO program. Our PTO meets
on a regular basis and provides a wealth of activities for both students
and staff. If you are looking for an elementary school that tries its
best to meet the needs of all students, Roslund's the place.
